The Faculty of Business is involved in a trial of the Elluminate software package and is inviting you to participate.

Elluminate is a software package that enables real-time interaction, collaboration, group meetings by means of interactive whiteboard, voice, text, video and instant messaging in the one desk top interface.

The software has the following educational advantages:

• Customisable online experience for students regardless of location
• Supports online communities
• Adds to blended learning approach, providing online real time workshops, seminars, conferences, special events
• Provides access to remote guest speakers; experts; workplaces
• Can connect with students from other classrooms for combined lessons (intra and inter-university)
• Student collaboration on authentic projects
• Allows real-time online tutoring and mentoring

How to use it:

If you want to have an account created and start using Elluminate, please contact Frederic Fery IT Coordinator and send:

• First name, last name, QUT user name, Email, School or Division

Support:

To use Elluminate a computer requires Java and the Elluminate client files (both are free to everyone via the web).

Elluminate has a single configuration page for both also – www.elluminate.com/support with a simple three step process.
